The Georgelas Group is a real estate development organization, managing—from end-to-end—the entire real estate development life cycle.

The Georgelas Group has been developing high quality projects since 1964, when founder Col. John G. Georgelas built the first Georgelas home. Today, the Georgelas Group has developed millions of square feet of Office, Residential, Retail and Industrial Space in the U.S. and abroad, including Kuwait, Russia, Saudi Arabia, France and Guam.

Founded in 1964 by Colonel John Georgelas, the Georgelas Group is a premier, full service real estate development and services firm with vast domestic as well as international experience. The Georgelas Group has developed a wide array of mixed use, transit oriented developments, government, commercial, residential and industrial properties, including shopping malls, retail centers, office buildings, residential communities, custom homes, military installations and international projects.

The Georgelas Group Executive Management Team

Theodore J. Georgelas — CEO/Senior Managing Partner

Mr. Georgelas has provided leadership, guidance and management to the Georgelas Group for over 35 years and is one of the Managing Members. He has expertise in financing and management for all aspects of real estate development. He is a member of the Board of Directors of United Bankshares, Inc. (Nasdaq: UBSI) and was founder of Bank 1st in McLean, Virginia.  Mr. Georgelas takes the lead role in all financing and business aspects of the Georgelas Group and has arranged for equity and debt financing in excess of $1.5 billion for a variety of development and construction projects for the Georgelas Group.

Anthony J. Georgelas — Senior Managing Partner

Mr. Georgelas has provided real estate development management to the Georgelas Group for over 30 years and is one of the Managing Members. He has expertise in management for acquisitions, zoning matters, construction and all aspects of commercial and residential project development as well as direct contracting with the US Military both nationally here in the USA and internationally in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Mr. Georgelas provides a full range of real estate development management skills and leadership and has directly managed over $1.0 billion for a variety of development and construction projects undertaken by the Georgelas Group.

Aaron J Georgelas — Partner

Mr. Georgelas, Managing Partner, is responsible for all mixed use development activity in the Mid-Atlantic region. He joined The Georgelas Group in 2000. Mr. Georgelas has over 10 years of real estate development experience in the Washington D.C. area. As development manager he successfully led the first mixed use entitlement case under Arlington County’s newly adopted Form Base Code. Mr. Georgelas manages the acquisition, entitlement, financing and development of the Georgelas Group’s ambitious mixed use and transit oriented developments. Mr. Georgelas is actively involved in the community and currently sits on numerous boards including: The Washington Airports Taskforce, The Dulles Corridor Rail Association, and is Chairman of The Board of Tysons Tomorrow.

Jon Adler — Partner

Prior to joining the Georgelas Group in 2006, Mr. Adler had a distinguished 20 year career with one of the nation’s leading homebuilders. As a Division President, Mr. Adler was responsible for building operations, land acquisition, construction, marketing and sales; achieving over $2 billion in revenues. In addition to Mr. Adler’s extensive leadership skills, he has in depth knowledge of the entire land development process including entitlement and financing. Mr. Adler manages all of the current active development projects of the Georgelas Group and oversees Bryton Homes, which is a homebuilding subsidiary of the Georgelas Group. He is directly involved in the acquisition, assemblage of properties, planning and implementation of all the future Georgelas Group projects to include residential, commercial and retail.

Irfan Ali — Partner

Mr. Ali has over 34 years of diversified business experience and joined the Georgelas Group in 2004. Prior to joining the Georgelas Group, Mr. Ali participated in a variety of investment related activities including a partnership with the Carlyle Group to pursue the acquisition of an air cargo and logistics business. Prior to that, Mr. Ali led a consortium of US companies including Westinghouse Power and Babcock & Wilcox, in developing (IPP) Independent Power Projects in Pakistan. Previously, Mr. Ali was the managing partner in the Washington office of Tri-Crescent Equities a Saudi Arabian company. At Tri-Crescent he was responsible for a broad portfolio of investments in Private Equity, Real Estate joint ventures as well as direct development. Over his career, Mr. Ali has arranged over 1 million square feet of retail, residential and office developments. Mr. Ali serves on the Advisory Board of the Technology School of George Mason University.

Worth Jenkins — Division President, Bryton Homes

Mr. Jenkins comes to the Georgelas Group with 15 years of experience in the homebuilding industry with one of the nation’s largest homebuilders. He has management experience in all facets of the homebuilding business including sales, marketing, costing, procurement, and production. Mr. Jenkins is responsible for the homebuilding operations in Virginia and Delaware for Bryton Homes, the Georgelas Group’s premier homebuilding company

William Galayda — Controller

Joined the Georgelas Group in 2005. Mr. Galayda has over 30 years of experience in accounting and finance, and is involved in all aspects of the Georgelas Group’s financial operations.
